Conversion of an old trailer to a chicken coop
We started a project today that I have been wanting to work on for a long time. We have an old trailer in the back that was originally going to be converted into a guest room. Then we were going to convert it into an outside bar area. We decided not to do that and then debated about selling it or turning it into a chicken coop. The tongue and frame are bad so it can't be towed. With the return of cold weather we went ahead and started the process of making it a coop. It still needs some work making better perches and getting everything situated but I think they will be much more comfortable in here this winter. I haven't decided about bringing the ducks in here too or not. They are more winter hardy and would probably prefer to stay where they are. I'm anxious to get this done, but really happy to get it started. The girls are sleeping in their trailer tonight.
