One of a Kind
I'm a geek. I like fun little things that reflect my hobbies. However, I like unusual things. So, I've had some things made, just for me. They make me happy, and I want to introduce you to the great people who created them.
My lovely 1965 Cree. My Cree is a happy place for me. So, I've had some things made to remind me of my Cree when I can't be in it camping.
Model. Made from wood, this was created by Dennis Grindle. He did an amazing job!
Keychain. I broke my ankle in October at a Sisters on the Fly function. My fellow Sisters decided to shower me with keychains (I collect them). Demaree Hoover of Creative Whimsey made this adorable Cree ceramic keychain for my collection.
Necklaces. I had the talented Michelle of Michelle's Clay Creations make these for me. The photo has 4, mine are the two on the right. They're created from polymer. One is my Cree and the other one is my 1965 Avion.
Artwork. I've had two pieces created of my lovely Cree. One was done by the talented Walda Juhl in watercolor. It's in my trailer right now, but I found this picture of it in my trailer.
This amazing mixed media piece was made by Barb Rogers. You can find other examples of her work on her website or her Facebook page.
I also love my 1965 Avion. I had to get some things that reminded me of it too!
Linda Fox makes these amazing boxes. Carved from a block of wood, the door and windo slide open to show a little drawer. Or, you can get them made with a light in it. I had 3 of these made and gave two of them to fellow Avion owners who influenced our decision to get one for ourselves. The other one, we kept for us!
One of my cherished collectibles is a fun ceramic model that Demaree Hoover made of my 1958 Nash Metropolitan. She used a photo taken of my car at Moto Muster, held at Greenfield Village. I had little headlight visors on my car, which she added to the model. I also always wear a large hat, and she added one of my hats to the back, even included the red streamers on it. I sold my beautiful car last year, so this means even more to me now. It reminds me of a wonderful day, and great times.
Love your awesome blog and your postings of your favorite hobby pieces. They are amazing. Love the Mini Camper made by Dennis Grindke. He does great work, adding alot of detail to the camper. Thanks for sharing!
